About to buy wheels, '48 s10 swapped

I've narrowed my wheel choice down to coy c5's. Was originally planning on going with boss 338's and although the coys are more pricey I like the styling differences better. I've done quite a bit of reading on s10 sites concerning backspacing, size, etc.
From that I've narrowed it down to two options for the front, the rear will be 20x10
The front either 20x8.5 with 4.75" backspacing or 20x7 with 4.25" backspacing.
I'd prefer to run the 8.5 width if I won't run into any (severe) rubbing issues, from my research on the s10 forums the 8.5's should be doable as far as suspension/frame is concerned. Anyone able to weigh in on what they are running? Really want to confirm my thoughts on the 8.5 before dropping money on wheels.

Can anyone weigh in on this? Really just concerned if it will rub the frame turning lock to lock with 20x8.5
Everything else should be more than manageable.

s10s like around a zero to standard (12-14mm) offset source.

an 8.5 inch wide wheel is 9.5 inches lip to lip, so a zero offset would be 4.75" backspace, a standard offset would be 5" backspace. a 7 inch wide wheel is 8 inches wide so a zero offset would be 4" wide and a standard offset is 4.25" backspace. Looks like either will turn without contacting the frame.

are you running spacers to push the wheels out? subtract the width of your spacers from the backspace if so, and your worries about frame contact can go away. If you arent running spacers, the wheels will still look sucked in, but that also helps turning if you are really low.

I've read that the 20x8.5 will work with 4.75'' backspace, but the difference being will work, and won't rub, is where I'm at. From what I read and what you say they should work no problems whatsoever, just trying to double check I guess.
I have looked at the build on Cecil, just revisited it though now that you post again, and that made me do some more thinking. While he is running 18's up front my tire size would promote an actual smaller overall tire, both in overall width and diameter. Know that he has a 4.5'' backspace on his front wheels as well. So that all points me to the 20x8.5 working. left is my tire (red), vs cecil's front tires on the right (green)

if you arent running a spacer, and they end up rubbing, you will have about 3 inches worth of room to space them out.

Won't be running spacers, at least unless it's totally unavoidable. The rear I have an 8.5 from an extreme, and may end up shortening it, but I'd rather have a stronger rear end and no spacers in the long run.
Will contact skymangs and ask about cecil, I've bugged him before on it, but didn't think to ask if that build can turn lock to lock no problems, if it can then I should be all set.

According to SKYMANGS we should have about 1/2 clearance. As a last resort I can always put a smaller tire up front but I wont have to.

Thanks for the picture Shawn, I have talked to him as well. Had my heart set on coy c-5's but they are back ordered until March so going to see if I can find something else with same backspacing, otherwise I'll have to wait.
