Need Help/Advise Body Mount Replacement
Began doing a body mount replacement. Found that my mounting on the rear sill and rear bed floor is badly rusted out. I'm in the process to remove the rear cross sill to fabricate a new sill with the mounting pads. I found when removing the spot welds and lower bolts that the inner structure behind the tail lamp that the rear cross sill bolts to is completely rotted out. I was looking for a patch panel of some sort for this but all I found was the tail lamp rear corner sheet metal for the outside. I know I need to remove the outer bedside (quarter panel) to repair this. Does anyone know of a repair patch panel available or have some insight how to repair this piece of structure? I can post some pictures of what exactly I'm talking about if need be. Thanks Mike

Re: Need Help/Advise Body Mount Replacement
Mike, i think you re in a tight spot, because i have never seen a patch for that area. I would suggest posting a ' WTB' in the classifieds. Someone will have a piece for you
Good luck, and post up some pics

If you are talking the support structure at the taillight end of the quarter panel then look at the link below. I can get better pictures if you need it let me know.

Re: Need Help/Advise Body Mount Replacement
Thats exactly what I'm referring to. I'm going to begin pulling the outter quarters off so I can see how much of that structure I will need and I can post some pictures to show detail. If you have some or can take some pictures with out to much trouble so show more detail that would be great and if you have these pieces that would be even better, save me from fabricating something up, specially since there appears to alot missing. In addition thats what i can only see thru the taillight area, I'm sure its alot worse behind the quarter. Thanks again Mike

Re: Need Help/Advise Body Mount Replacement
Pictures are not a problem will get them tonight. I actually cut most of the sheetmetal off now so you can get a good look at everything. One is in real nice shape the other has a hole about the size of a golf ball if I remember right but should be an easy fix. A lot easier than trying to fab. the whole thing. Both pieces are for sale 40 ea. plus shipping.

Re: Need Help/Advise Body Mount Replacement
Was reading through and saw this. I was thinking only way to get them was the way it worked out for you. Glad you found some. Rip the rig they had to come off of to fix yours. At least a piece has gone in to fix a good existing truck. If worse case scenario you could have used a old truck bed and cut those ends out I think they are the same. I'd like to see some pics of how you do the repair.

Re: Need Help/Advise Body Mount Replacement
Chulisohombre, I have a build thread under Projects and Builds named Project Blazilla. I'll post pics of progress on these rear pillars sometime in the next week. Working on pulling the first quarter off to get the rear cross sill out and start the pillar extraction. Follow the progress there. Thanks for the interest.
