Suspension/steering questions?

So we picked up my wife's 89 2wd Silverado as I posted on here already. The front suspension looks like it needs attention based on the tire wear. So Im going to order a new idler arm, pitman arm, inner and outer tie rods, ball joints. The question I have it do the bushings on the control arm affect the alignment? I read that some control arm bushing are welded and the hole control arm has to be replaced and the other kind you have to press the bolts out?
