How Do I Ship a Hood???
Found a real nice hood for cheap in the original color I need.
I will use U-Ship to get it to me, but I just don't know how / what to have the seller box it up with?? Anyone boxed up a hood before and shipped it? Please let me know what you used / how you did it Thanks!!!! |

I've never shipped a hood, but I've seen post where guys use Greyhound due to the size.

have them get box from body shop. we cut them up and throw them away daily

Try AAA cooper I bought a hood for my 1970 Buick GSX in Chicago had it shipped to Orange tx for $75

greyhound ship(s) up to 82 inches ( that's from what they told me ) ....

I would try Fastenal. To ship a 80 lb box, they quoted $78 bucks. Greyhound was $121 or $158 for expedited. Fastenal requires a pallet if over 65 lbs though. Matt

if you dont use a pallat, put padding on one side get a box from lkq, a body shop or wherever they sell bodyparts for bodyshops, shrinkwrap the heck out of it and ship the hood on its SIDE where its padded. the side of the hood can take the weight and the bumps of the road alot better than the bottom of the hood where it meets the cowl. i see ALOT of curled corners due to resting the hood on its bottom section
