yes, they have the GMC logo on the buckle...I got a pair in the shed. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

Yes, Chevy has the fawn webbing and fawn colored pot metal buckle, GMCs have black webbing and a black plastic buckle like the 66 Impala. Just a different logo inside as Jon stated.

Here are a pair from my 66' GMC C30 flatbed parts truck. The passenger buckle has lost its nameplate but does have GMC molded into the plastic part. The non-buckle straps are both frayed slightly where the strap would go between the seat cushions to the bolted end.
Sorry I don't have a Chevy belt to compare them with...jon

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but are these super rare? I was going to have Snake Oyl refurbish my 66 Chevy belts and change them to black, but their pricing is much more than I want to pay. If these aren't too rare, I may start the hunt for a set and just have some custom decals made to replace the GMC.

I never onew GMC belts had that fancy plactic cover with the emblem in it. Cool, I learn something new everyday! Good luck with the sale.

If deal falls thru I have a pair of '66 GMC seatbelts like the one pictured. They cam from my parts truck and one is missing the GMC emblem, but can still see the outline of lettering. Webbing OK, not great. Mounting bolts included. I can post images of interested.

I like that you try hard to get the correct equipment on your trucks and knowing none of mine are original, To see that my parts can help make another truck look even that much more original for the next guy, I will feel good about letting them go...its that purist streak in me... jon

Well , it depends on condition like anything. The GMC decal being nice with good chrome etc , I would pay more. The belt is the same as 66 Chevy cars , just the decal is different. Let me know , Thanks

So can you buy brand new perfect 66 Impala reproductions and then switch the labels to get "show quality" correct belts & buckles? Hunting extra nice belts is not something I want to do really - I have a bunch of used original I have to go through and see if I have enough buckles w/ GMC logos still on them to make a full set for my 66 Suburban. I know it has several still inside it too

My understanding is that these Black GMC belts are 1966 only so for 60-65 GMC's you would use the fawn Chevy belts which were available at GMC dealers as an accessory option in those years - correct?
