64 C10 headers

Has anyone used a set of 88-95 truck headers on a 64-66 c10? Found some nice stainless mid length and was wondering if anyone has used a set from these years?
Thanks

Re: 64 C10 headers

I used 1974 camaro long tubes on mine but I've heard those headers work but the tend to shoot for the pass side frame rail.

Re: 64 C10 headers

Thanks Shortbed70. By the way love your build. I'm doing mine right now. Getting ready to pull the cab to do the exhaust and finish boxing the frame then the frame is off to powder coating. Then the rust repair and body work starts.

Re: 64 C10 headers

From what I have heard/read, those headers don't work.

Re: 64 C10 headers

They worked on mine. Some minor frame trimming on the pass side and remove a grease zert on drivers side control arm. My motor is set between the two mounting points these trucks have. Mine were summit brand ceramic... I'll try and get some pics... Thanks Jaz

Re: 64 C10 headers

Here's a pic with the first set of summit small tube headers for a 74 camaro.. You can see where I had to do some minor trimming second tube back

Re: 64 C10 headers

Here's the new motor and bigger tube ceramic headers. These were off eBay for $215 so don't know brand just know they were for the same car... Notice in the first pic where the motor mounts are also! If I would've went to the furthest forward they wouldn't work. At the back mounts the hei cap hits the firewall. So I split the difference

Re: 64 C10 headers

Thanks Troy. I moved my engine 2" forward when I installed the 81 crossmember. Wanted the distributor away from the firewall. I'm going to order the 88-95 and if I have to I will cut them apart and tig them back up. Did you fill the bed side seams also? I'm going to fill all the body seams also.
Thanks for all the feed back.

Re: 64 C10 headers

Does any manufacturer make a header for a 350 that is bolt in? Shorty type?

No problem and yes I welded the seams all around the bed! My truck doesn't haul anything but what I need at shows..
