can i use a brake booster off a 79 on my 67 will the rod to the pedal line up???

Do you have a booster mount for the truck now? If not, you either need to find one, or get a Captain Fab mount. The you would need to modify the rod on the booster to fit to the pedal.
Later mounts bolt right to the firewall, and I'm pretty sure all the square body trucks are like that. From the factory ours had a complicted mount with a linkage that puts the booster like 8 inches off the firewall.
