Least common interior color?

I was looking through the factory options list and noticed all the different interior color options and it got me thinking, what is the least common color and what is the most desired color these days?

Also, how common is dark saddle?

Re: Least common interior color?

I know this doesn't answer your question, but dark saddle is probably my favorite interior color. It looks stunning! I've noticed a good chunk of 67-72s that have saddle. Black is probably most common. Sandlewood is uncommon and almost never restored. There is a blazer on here with sandlewood in the "CST carpet" thread

Re: Least common interior color?

I would say the most popular color is black. With the second most popular color parchment

Here's you two more...the base interior is asolde's 69 and is exactly as mine was when new in 1970 with utility buckets...minus the 4 speed and console of course.

Re: Least common interior color?

Never knew red was one of the rarest color interiors. My 1970 Blazer was originally Light Red (Chevy Red/Orange) with "Red Vinyl Trim" Interior. Over the years someone recovered the seats black and the car is now a darker red repainted 20+ years ago. See photos below.

Re: Least common interior color?

I see the red interiors had the body color (red) painted on the inside of the cap. was that factory or done after market? I would think the inside of the cap would be the color of the exterior of the cap factory.

on the 1969 Blazers the factory painted the interior of the top the same color as the body.

Wow...my heart skips a beat every time my eye rolls across a KE180SXXXXX SPID...wish your serial number started with 14 instead of 18.

Re: Least common interior color?

I didn't know red was an option. Good to know though, especially when talking about the harder to find pieces of interior.
