Re: Tough truck
That makes me want to buy my tires at American Tire Service!
Dang straight that's a tough truck. Our troopers never would have let it drive off. Pretty cool to see. Tough tractor, too! I was looking at the bed to see what all that weight would do. I didn't expect to see the bins fly open! That thing almost wanted to go on over another 1/4 turn from that weight. I did the same thing for my buddy's '85 K30 when he flipped it on it's lid...down over the bank. Got it pulled upright, pulled it up the bank, and onto the road. Let it set about 5 minutes and he fired it up. Made gobs of smoke burning everything off. We shut it down and I dragged it off to a good spot, an abandoned house just up the road. Middle of the night, one of those stories.

Re: Tough truck
I really think they gambled a bunch , roll overs generally will let oil leak past the rings and hydro lock the engine but they got by with it .

Re: Tough truck (forgive the ad !!!)
It's hard to know how long they let it sit for after it was righted, or if they did anything to empty the oil.
Also, the internet is amazing... a couple minutes and I found exactly where that was: https://www.google.com/maps/@36.5916...Ssej86OZIg!2e0

Re: Tough truck (forgive the ad !!!)
I bet it did. I was looking for a picture in my Photobucket and ran across some pictures to share here. talk about a tough truck! My buddy Dale has been in the towing & recovery business and this truck can do the job! Would have been handy at this crash. This beast sports 4 winches. The truck was owned by the Navy originally. After these pictures he moved the crane off the tail and behind the cab for better function

Re: Tough truck (forgive the ad !!!)
I wonder, too. The Navy had it set up with big singles all around. I know that front bumper is a solid steel counterweight.
