It's a great day to hunt some trucks...

Clear morning, mild temps, cash in hand and trailer hooked up. What a way to spend a Saturday. Show you what I find when I get back.

69 GMC, small block converted three on the floor manual transmission. VERY BAD rust issues. Starts and runs, would drive but the driveshaft is kicked out of it, carrier bearing issues. I dig the mirrors.

Re: It's a great day to hunt some trucks...

Man I would, but there was a slight mishap and I damaged my winch. I get to do some creative electricalicty work. Had a strap cut and let the truck "bump" the winch slightly. I was trying to work a deal on a short bed in Ripley Mississippi but the guy said it was spoken for, then he is back on the facebook pages last night hawking it again. I asked if his Sunday spoken for deal fell through and he replied it was not Sunday yet. I decided to pass on anyone that would deal like that. May just stay in and clean up from the 67 long stepper and smoke some ribs.

I hope something still works out. I spy a spare tire mount in the bed. That grille was painted white over chrome, right? I always wondered how that would look...on the right truck. Not too shabby

The short bed deal is not going to happen, I may be cutting my nose off to spite my face, but I cannot stand when people try to work every angle there is on a deal. The painted white grille looks pretty good on the blue, complements the white spokes nicely. Shame this thing is as rusty as it is.
