Unhappy 60-66 Low humps all the same?

I see lots of guys installing T5's under a low hump floor. I tried trial fitting my T5 into my 63 so I could locate and cut out the shifter hole, and there was no way I could get the tranny spigot into the bell housing. Today I took some measurements, and it looks like the floor is too low to accommodate the top cover of the T5.

My T5 is from an 87 Camaro with an S10 tail housing.

Is it possible that the 60-63 and 64-66 low floor humps are different?

Thanks in advance...

Don't know the answer to your question, but there are one piece and removable pan low hump floors. Also the high hump pan can be bolted into a removable low hump floor, as long as the front piece that connects to the firewall is swapped as well. A high hump pan can also be installed in a one piece low hump floor. Just lay the pan on top of the floor and cut the hole undersize to function as a mounting lip. Again you'll need the front piece that attaches to the firewall.

Re: 60-66 Low humps all the same?

My low hump was cut for column to floor swap. I patched this, then I ended up making a rise to clear t5 in the '62. Still used small hump carpet. Now with the installation of Porterbuilt stuff, the high hump is to be installed.
This is the bolt in one.

I wasn't aware that there were removable low humps, but it turns out that's what my truck has.

Did you mod the floor up at the front of the T5, or in the shifter area?

I haven't seen much mention of modding the floor when installing a T5... I wonder if the one-piece low hump floors offer more clearance over the tranny top cover?
