Steering issue - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 71 C10 LWB. I have installed the 3" drop springs on the front and have run into an issue with the tie rod link hitting the idler and pitman arms. I still have the stock spindles. My question is do I need to get the drop spindles to lower the position of the tie rod to get away from the idler and pitman arms?
