Leaf spring center pin diameter
On my 69 step I have Cal-Trac bars and the overload leaf hits the forward rod. I'm going to pull the overload leaf since it will serve no purpose in the future. So, I'm going to order new center pins and I took the extra set of springs I had away.
Anybody know the diameter of the pin so I don't order the wrong one? 3/8" is what I'm thinking. But 5/16" and 7/16" also common...

Re: Leaf spring center pin diameter
grab a 3/8 and 5/16 POS bolts from home depot and try. I can't see it being a different one. My 1 ton blazer uses 3/8 front and rear. My last leaf pack (off an 89) used a metric size, can't remember the size, like a 10mm or something
I have heard of ProComp lift springs using 5/16, which I can't understand why they would go smaller.

Re: Leaf spring center pin diameter
Thanks.
I found the 3 leaf springs I got when I bought my 5 lug rear and the Mic'd at 3/8". I had already ordered 3/8" and 5/16" Rancho pins, so I'll eat the $6.95 on the 5/16" LOL
