What are the high valur items on our trucks?

There was a recent thread about $700.00 tow hooks on ebay.
It got me thinking, I wonder if I have stepped over, around or on a high value item and didn't even know it. Who knows, I may have had a parts truck with tow hooks that I bought the truck for $500 and resold for $600, never knowing all the super high valuable pieces I was missing. Or even at a swap meet when I see a booth with 67-72 truck parts. Maybe the guy selling doesn't know the value either.
feel free to correct me on any of the items listed below.

So, here is the start of a list:
Tow Hooks; both straight mount and "extreme bend"
Tach Dash available in both 6 cyl or 8 cyl
Speed Warning Speedometer
Vacuum Gauge
71-72 5 lug axle
late 70 6 lug axle - same width as 5 lug 71-72
Buddy Buckets 67-68
67 only wing windows

Original 69/70 grill surround in good condition, Cruise control, buddy buckets seem to be pulling more than buckets and console recently.

Any I6 power steering brackets and parts including pulleys.

Big block exhaust heat shields (under the wood beds and under the front floor boards).

CST horn buttons.

Original throttle cables.

This. OEM rust free/dent free sheet metal is priceless. Just about anything else can be duplicated.

I found out the hard way, by pretty much giving them away, that the 250 power steering brackets were valuable

Ouch! I've tossed a couple parts that people later posted WTB ads for. Nothing expensive, but sometimes I forget what's plentiful on the west coast may be a treasure in the rust belt

Why do you ask? Are you planning on stripping your neighbors truck?

Not all that valuable but hard to come by are the offset 6 air cleaners. Especially the ones without the vacuum connections for the early trucks.

What do 72 BB mounts look like?
I had a set of the pre-71 (I guess) once, that I sold here on the board probably 10-12 years ago.
But I guess I am not clear as to what a 72 BB mount looks like.
Got a pic?

Re: What are the high valur items on our trucks?

Good thread to get everyone to stop throwing things/scrapping away. I am guilty of this. I never knew the truck I had purchased several years ago had such a following. I feel guilty putting a hidden hitch on it. The more I know the less I want to replace! Post your parts someone might need them!

It's the 292 set up thats worth some coin, the 250 is quite common, used on several passengers cars in addition to pickups.
