Is this radiator hose correct?

Am replacing the old/generic hoses with new (hopefully) stock ones.

Working on a '69 GMC, inline 6 (230/250).

Can anyone confirm this lower hose is correct?

Re: Is this radiator hose correct?

RockAuto lists a Gates 20489 as a lower hose that will work on a 69 GMC C15 with a 250 but does not show it for a 230 but it appears to be close to the same size so it might work on a 230.

Re: Is this radiator hose correct?

Thanks. I find that a lot of places will list the 250 but not list the 230 at all. Odd.

I'll give this one a shot this weekend and see how it fits, unless anyone else chimes in.

You'd think the physical (outside) of the 2 engines would be the same, at least that's what I've found in my research. Meaning what works on one, should work on the other, for the most part.

Re: Is this radiator hose correct?

The diameters are the same. The hose shown for the 230 is a little longer and is a flex hose. They use the same water pump so it seems like the routing of the lower hose would be similar.

I noticed that. Still, you'd think the hose would be the exact same between the 230 and the 250, but I'm far from an expert.

I may end up just having to run flex hose for now until I can figure out if there is supposed to be a difference for the 230.
