?about mail order

I was reciently looking into buying a set of 35x12.5 parnelli jones tires on 10in micky thompson classic 2`s. The question I have is has any one ever bought anything from Desert Rat ?(the mail order place in arizona) cause they have a real sweet wheel and tire package. I live on the east coast, but they are still cheaper than I can buy them for around here, even with the shipping and handeling. I`m just not sure about the whole process. Has anyone ever done this before( bought wheels and tires mail order)If so please let me know how you made out........thanks john

I bought my tires and rims from 4Wheel Wholesale Parts and my complaint was their lack of customer service. They said it would take a couple weeks to get the tires out but ended being a little more than a month. I think that was a fluke. I would buy tires and wheels thorough mail order again. Never heard anything bad about Desert Rat - they do a lot of advertising which I think should be a good sign.

The only problem you may have is if they dont have a part of your order in stock.....If they have to backorder anything I think I would pass until they have it.

How much cheaper are they ? If they only beat local shop by few bucks (under say $50 $70) for whole set up . I would probly go local , because you never know they could back order on ya and then some . Also if you have any problems such as balancing, bad tire or wheel or such you will have to cover it your self or ship it back to them and most of them don't pay you for your shipping to them. Also local shops around here will rotate them for you for free as long as you got the tires. Just my .50 cents worth . Jeff

I bought my super swampers on 15x10 us wheel rims from Tyres international. Had my tires/rims/lug nuts/center caps in 6 days from when I ordered them. Came to my house on an 18 wheeler. Never thought he'd get out but he did.
