wiper run when I first turn on they key.
I need help fixing my 85 gmc c1500. When I turn my key on my wipers will run for a couple seconds then turn off. It has been doing this for years but now it's just starting to annoy me. What do I need to do to fix it. Everything else is functional and normal with the wipers.

I would pull apart the column and make sure the wiper /turn signal switch has no bad wires or shorts in it then id start looking at the ignition switch... im wondering if one of the pull rods or something is shorting the wipers on at first bit its one or the other the ignition switch or linkages or the wiper switch or the wiring make sure the connections are good and clean

I installed a intermittent wiper switch into my 83, and obviously it had an issue with its module, it did the same thing and it is annoying as hell.
I went back to my old switch.

All the connections look good and everything is factory. I'm going to have to fIndian a used pulse module I'm not going to buy a new one for $160 since that's a ridiculous price on them.

I'm pretty sure I have one or two used ones if you are in need of one. Let me know, and I will look.

Dang it! Mine won't cut off from the switch anymore. I have to pull fuse out, which has a green wire wrapped around it. Talk about annoying having to get out in the rain to pull the fuse.
