Did the 700r4 and it's electric cousins come in certain passenger vehicles or were they truck only transmissions ? Thanks

Had a Chevy Caprice that was a 305 / 700R combo

3rd gen f body used the 700r4 and the 4th gen f body used the 4l60e but both had a different tail housing for the torque arm mount.The c4 corvette used a 700r4.Are you trying to find one for your truck or something?

Did any of these vehicles have a throttle cable/TV cable bracket that mounted on a Quadrajet Carb with the back carb mounting bolts? I am trying to find that bracket if it was ever made.

I pulled one off an Olds Delta 88.

If it is going in your 85 and you do not do any regular heavy towing then it is the best overall choice and relatively easy to swap.

The 3rd gen f body didn't go efi tell like 85 so 83-84 might have that bracket.

I made my own, when I was building my truck. God bless the blue flame hot torque tool and a pair of plliers.

My 1995 caprice had a 4l60e...it was a fine little trans until I busted it.
