Washer bottle location

Was there different locations where the window washer bottle was mounted? I've seen some on the firewall as well as rad support.

Only place I've seen them on the '67-'72's is on the core support or drivers side inner fender.

Re: Washer bottle location

Based on my observations, I believe the bottle was mounted on the core support until sometime during the 1969 model year. I say that since that's where my original 69 produced during Dec., 1968 had it mounted, but many (most?) of the 69s I've seen had it on the left fender. The mounting brackets were also different as seen in the picture below. The one on the right is from my 69. I got the other from a later model in the junkyard. The extension on the rear of the one on the right allows the bottle to properly fit on the core support.

Now that you mention it, I also remember seeing it there in the assembly manual. I think it was in the 69 section. However, I've never seen one actually located on the firewall.
