Are the replacement division bar relining channels glued in or riveted? Any tricks I need to know when doing this? Thanks, fat dan

Re: Division bar

Mine were glued. The ones from Brothers do a much better job of fitting like OEM and sealing out the wind over the ones from LMC in my other truck. New ones came with adhesive on them.

Re: Division bar

Thanks for the feedback PGSigns. I found a older post from 2011 that some said glue and some said rivet. I watched a You tube video that rebuilt a vent window, but nothing about the division bar. One parts house said to glue it in.

Re: Division bar

I did a rebuild thread a while back on how I rebuilt my vent windows. There were rivets top and bottom IIRC, but there was also glue to seperate. I used glue when reinstalling them.

Re: Division bar

Thanks for your input BR3W CITY. The original bar had rivets top and bottom. I contacted the person that rebuilds vent windows on You Tube, and he use 3M 08011 black on the division bar.

Re: Division bar

Is that the weahterstripping adhesive? I'm pretty sure thats what I used as well.

I'd give you a link to my walkthrough on the rebuild, but search is STILL down, so I can't find it.
