Wheels - 20s Detroit Steel or ??
Thinking of changing up my wheel set up. Originally was thinking of going with 20 x 9 Detroit steels but now rethinking because of weight they bring with them. Looking at those as well as some American Racing forged or some Intros. Really like the look of the Detroit. Can anyone that is running the Detroits tell me how they make the truck feel compared to a normal 20 wheel? I don't have a race truck but I do have a decent 400 + HP motor which I like to rip around in.
Thanks for the insight. |

Another option is the Delmo Special wheels offered by www.delmospeed.com.
They are designed to be used with the 1/2-ton dog dish style hubcaps. Plus they offer MANY more sizes and available backspacings.

I'm running Nissan steel 20's on mine and it didn't change the feel of the truck at all compared to the alm 20's I was running before. I considered the mobsteel smoothies but I wanted the holes and their artillery wheel isn't in production yet.

they already have the correct bolt pattern. I ran a 1 1/2" spacer on the back.
if your still running drums all the way around you'll have to run spacers front and back because the wheels have a smaller center bore. they fit my cpp 6 lug front rotors perfectly

These 5 on 5, 20" BOSS 338s 8.5" up front and 10" in back with Falken Azenis tires were around $1500.00 out the door from Discount tire, after 2000 miles I like 'em. My buddy Tim has them on his C10 too now.

What kind of drop do you have on your truck? I am looking at lowering my 69 2/4" and was hoping to do 20" wheels as well. Was hoping to fit 10" wheels in the back.

Those Delmo's are awesome. I like the Detroit's as well but as previously mentioned, they are heavy. Good luck on the search.
