235 carb set up.
Want to get you all opinion on which way to go with my motor. I want driveability over speed and want it to sound cool. I am going to do fenton style dual exhaust and was wondering what you all recommend on carb:
1. Stock intake w/ 2 barrel progressive webber sold by Langdon. 2. Clifford intake w/ 4 barrel webber. 3. Fenton dual carb intake with dual carters sold by Langdon I want to hear all your opinions before I buy any parts, thanks for the Help! |

Fenton headers with an offenhouser dual carb manifold and dual stock single barrels. HEI will help as well. And then your choice of mufflers will make the cool factor. Guy used flowmaster on a 235 and it sounded awesome.

Dual carbs aren't very hard. You'll wanna put the air mixture screw all the way in on both carbs, and then turn them 1 360 degree turn out...and make sure both idle screws are set the same. Then tune from there...after you have it running... I'd go ahead and put the both at a turn and a half...drive it see how it performs and watch your plugs. Normally the way to do it is you adjust the mixture screw out until max idle is reached...and in that case since you'll be running duals...the same will apply...but don't just do one and then the other... adjust one out an 1/8-1/4 turn then the other until max idle is reached...then lower your idle using both carbs to your preferred idle. Should be good.
