Project Trick-C
Hi! The hubby & I have been on the site for a while now getting great ideas for my first 'toy' so I've decided to finally start posting some pictures of our own build. We picked up my '66 C10 & his '86 dually projects about 18 months ago, building two trucks with two smalls kids will never be easy but it's worth every second as our entire family enjoys it! Anyhow... Here's some pictures of my girl when we first got her. Tons more to come!!

 Looks like a decent truck to build. It appears someone has already converted to 5 lug? What are your plans for your truck?

Yes, someone had already done a lot of work to the truck before we got it. We've learned not everything was done 100% but hey, it's a project.
The 5 lug conversion had already been done, although the front and rear were done to two different bolt patterns. We knew this would cause a little more work once it was time to decide on wheels but it was fine as is for the time. The factory gas tank had already been relocated which was another big plus! First thing was wiring.... It seemed none of the lights were wired correctly. Luckily there's not much in the wiring dept in these trucks so this didn't take too much. Then we had to deal with a high torque starter that was on the truck with a bolt too long with washers... Caused horrible starting issues, once the hubby figured that one out, put the right bolt in & voila! Oh and thanks for the welcome!! The truck is actually being bagged right now... Just trying to work from the beginning

We did a little dressing up to the motor with a little fresh paint, a new air filter & can never go wrong with a billet serpentine belt system.

The next major thing we attacked was the interior. While the buckets were comfy, they didn't fit with the style I wanted. Neither did the console that was built. So we pulled everything out and started over. Spent the time to lay out heat/noise shield before I put down some fresh black carpet. The hubby built a console to fit around the shifter I found on eBay...I'm a sucker for knuckles so it did me perfectly! We found a bench that fit and that's what we have now. I have another bench once it's time to finish up the interior... Early 90s work truck bench with the 60/40 armrest that we scored in great condition off Craigslist. Plan to have that redone with the door panels later on.

So we drove her around for a few months as she was, did a few car shows and then made the decision it was time to take her apart and start bagging her. Here's a few pictures when we first started tear down. Got rid of the old fuel cell for a nice pretty one.

Then it was time to start crunching and get her bagged for LST 2015. The hubby cut out the control arms and made a 2 inch pocket for the bags to sit.
