Question Stainless fuel line for a 68 swb with blazer tank

I understand I can use the stock line from front to rear (rear of cab) line and run a rubber hose or make my own...

But..

I am curious if I could buy a replacement line for a blazer and install it in my 68 2wd swb...?

If anyone has anything good or bad to comment, I'm all ears. I don't want (my current setup) stock line to a 5 ft rubber hose... I want all steel and making my own is kind of the last resort.... and also what size should it be? 5/16 or 3/8?

Thanks!

Re: Stainless fuel line for a 68 swb with blazer tank

I called Aeroquip, and ordered 1/2" aluminum tubing and a handfull of AN fittings for my fuel system. Summit racing also has some fuel system stuff too, but Aeroquip was a little cheaper. (Farther up the road, but cheaper.)
5/16" is good for v6 and smaller, 3/8" for stock to mild built small blocks, 1/2" for built up small blocks and big blocks. Ive ran as big as a -10 AN, 3/4" on my friends mustang, but he was sportin a 800 hp supercharged 5.4
hope this helps

Mock, thanks! I will go with 3/8 line then. Now just have to figure out if I can just purchase a pre bent line(s) that are stainless made to fit for a blazer tank.

I believe the Blazer has a shorter wheel base and a different frame, but maybe you could make a few tweaks if nec. and just lengthen it on a straight section so it comes close to the fuel pump.

Electric pump or manual?

I don't know the prices on the aluminum and stainless lines but here is another option. I bought the 1/4" Cupro/Nickel line for some brake lines and it is really easy to bend and flare and it won't rust....

No problem. You can bend it easily by hand if you want to. If you make a mistake you can straighten it back out and try it again. Neat stuff.
