cowl to hoo seal

Who sells good quality cowl to hood seal? The one I currently have pushes the hood up in the rear when I close it.

Re: cowl to hoo seal

I think these seals are getten a bad rap. Mine popped up after I put the seal in also and I'd like to blame the seal. I think the hinges are wore out in most cases.

Re: cowl to hoo seal

It's my opinion that most of the replacement hood seals are "L" shaped and should be "V" shaped. I am not happy with mine..... it came from LMC.

Re: cowl to hoo seal

I also have an LMC L-shaped cowl seal that that refuses to bend over on itself when the hood is closed. I looked at other posts about this and this seems to be a common problem with many of the aftermarked seals. A few years ago these seals were still available from GM but that is no longer the case. I was seaching on the internet and saw a softseal that looks like it is the right shape. Anyone have any experience with this seal?
