grille help
I picked up an 81 chevy truck recently and really don't like the grille that's in it....I was wondering if I changed the grille to an 86 style grille do I need to change the radiator support also or are those the same.....the fenders and hood are the same as an 86 style just need to know what all I need to swap over to the newer style grille. ....any insight would be greatly appreciated

Re: grille help
If you have the single head light and want the stacked double head lights you need to change the rad sup. When you change from an 81-82 grille to an 83-87 the only thing you need to change is the lower filler panel between the bumper and grille.

Re: grille help
Well then you need:
a radiator core support with the stacked head lights headlight/marker light harness (from firewall to lights) 83-87 lower filler panel(between grille and bumper) 85-87 grille 85-87 head light bezels 83-87 bumper without blinkers(85-87 grille has blinkers) That should be it.

Re: grille help
Huh, I like the 81 design better than my single-headlight 87 set-up, and considered changing it out too...
