Bed strips

Hey guys , after shopping the internet , I thought I found the best deal for the bed strips I want (polished stainless), but then I found out the price was a little lower because it's for unpolished stainless . (The photos in the listing were of polished stainless)

Seller says it's shiny but not as shiny as polished
Price difference for the set is about $45

Anyone here use unpolished strips and wish they were polished ? How does the finish hold up on the polished strips? Will I be constantly buffing it ?

IIRC, Russell A recently posted of a similar experience ordering SS non-polished strips and getting some "so shiny" he thought they shipped him polished by accident...

Who is the seller, please?

Re: Bed strips

You could buy them and if they are not shiny enough, just polish them up. Once stainless is polished, it will stay shiny for a long time. Unlike aluminum which oxidizes quickly.

Re: Bed strips

I'm lucky, I have a 3/4 sheet of weather sealed plywood in my bed and that's how it'll stay - I use my truck for hauling stuff and don't need to ruin nice wood or shiny strips

Re: Bed strips

I got unpolished strips from Mar-K and they look as shiney as those pictured in the ad. About the same price too, IIRC. You can't beat Mar-K and you know that what you get will be good.

Re: Bed strips

I used the non polished SS strips. They have a nice shine. A little less than show quality, but that's what you need to decide. Do you need show quality or not. They are easy to maintain. No need to polish, just wipe clean. Hope this helps.
