turbo 350 to NP205 seal?

is there a seal between the transmission and transfer case on the 350/np205 combo?..I just had my transmission rebuilt and am ready to start putting things together but I remember years ago I had a 72 chevy truck and I was coming back from up north and I went through 12 quarts of tranny fliud because there was some sort of a leak between the transmission and transfer case....I sold the truck because of the problem and the buyer told me there was a bad seal

The seal is in the adapter. The drive sleeve rides around the oil seal on the front and back if the adapter. Just like the front oil seal on your small block.

Here is AA's drawing (they reproduce the factory adapter) showing the seals, o ring and gasket.

Re: turbo 350 to NP205 seal?

this is great....I really appreciate the information. I have not taken the adapter off the transfer case yet so this fills in all the blanks for me...I will go to NAPA today...like I said before, I had that one migrate all the tranny fluid into the transfer case so I don't want that to happen again.....I bought all new rubber mounts and am getting ready to POR 15 the frame so this will be going together in about a week...thanks again for the help!!!!

Gentlemen...thank you for your input, I got all the seals and gaskets that you mentioned, and then some...I also bought a kit to replace the seals on the transfer case since I have it out of the truck....I think this will all be going together in about a week after I get the frame POR15'd
