1966 GMC 305 V6 air cleaner question

I bought a Holley 500 CFM 0-4412S and adapter plate to replace the carb on my 1966.

What air cleaner housing fit the 5 1/8 Holley ring? I want an OEM look.

Granted anything will look better that the mechanics red rag air cleaner it had from previous owner

Re: 1966 GMC 305 V6 air cleaner question

I was after something similar on my 66 GMC. I used a q-jet then went Holley. I used a Chevrolet Open Element air cleaner base , then put the factory GMC lid over that.

Re: 1966 GMC 305 V6 air cleaner question

Nice look, exactly what I'm going for.

Do you happen to know the year/model of the air cleaner.

Your post gave me another idea. I could use any larger OEM GMC air cleaner by cutting out the base with the plasma torch and putting it over a Holley air filter base and Holley or K&N element.

Thx

The top is original 1966 GMC . No cutting necessary .

Re: 1966 GMC 305 V6 air cleaner question

first most people mistake it for a 409 so I did the air cleaner with the valve covers to really confuse them
