Gauge bezel / dash question

I picked up this truck a few weeks ago for what i think was a good price (1,800) knowing that it has some issues.

One that I have not been able to figure out is the dash bezel doesn't fit into the dash like i think it should I have messed with it a bit, but it seems like my dash has shrunk or the bezel that was put on is different size than what it came with.

I know it was changed cause the guy I bought it from told me he changed it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Gauge bezel / dash question

You apparently have an 81-83 gauge bezel, the 81-87 dash pad covers more of the bezel than your 73-80 dash pad. What you need is a 78-80 gauge bezel for your looks to be a 79 truck.

Re: Gauge bezel / dash question

Correct. This is what a 78-80 bezel looks like.
