Neutral safety switch
I have installed an ididit steering column along with a locar cable operated column shift in my 55 second series and would like to have a neutral safety switch . I was wondering what setup most have used. I would like one that would use both park and neutral .

I think Locar sells a kit for the neutral switch or you could go with the kit that uses a switch off a Ford that fastens to the trans pan bolts.

shop the price, I did a quick search looking for another style I remembered(could not find it) but saw the lokar unit at speedway for $30.

I'm using a GM column so I have a OE switch, but I looked at the lokar and Painless trans switches.

As OrrieG said, shop the price as the link I posted most likely is on the high end or at least full list price. It was a quick link to grab this morning for show and tell.
Octainejunkie, If you are running a column shift there isn't much reason to change from the stock switch unless you like change for the sake of change and spending money. The stock switch also has the backup light switch in it so that is a point in it's favor.

I am not looking to move away from the OE column switch. I only posted here for the benefit of the OP.
The Painless kit I referenced also provides dual function neutral safety as well as reverse lights.
