Door glass seals and felts

There's a vendor here that reportedly has weatherstripping of better quality than what LMC carries and I'm drawing a blank on who it is. Does anyone recall, or can recommend a good source? With the search function down and my CRS I'm double-whammied.

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.

I was thinking that's who it was but I couldn't find any posts in the vendors section. Thanks man!

I was having the same trouble. Search by type of seal instead of by vehicle.

Re: Door glass seals and felts

Other than being pricey, is there anything wrong with the OEM scrapers and felts?

I got mine at the local dealer a couple years ago . I would assume they still sell them . Worth a check .

Re: Door glass seals and felts

Going on the idea that OEM is normally better than aftermarket, is there a way to soften-up, restore or refresh the OEM seals and gaskets?

Re: Door glass seals and felts

There are many products to protect them, I use the 3/M silicone paste.

That being said, what's involved in changing them, I never have...

Here's a good Thread:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=438649

And this place also sells them and they have specific video on the installation of the weather seals in youtube and links in their website:

Re: Door glass seals and felts

I bought the whole kit from CaptKaos. It was an excellent deal, window channels, inner and outer sweeps, and door weather strip for around $100 for both sides I believe. All Precision Parts. Nice fit, I had some trouble with fitment on the sweeps but I think it was more installer error, can't get them to fit 100% perfect.

I was impressed with the window channel felts from Presision, not so with their wipers, they did not fit well.

Excellent, I did not know he sold their stuff. Nice price. I hate to get the sweeps from LMC based on the last weather-stripping I bought from them. I guess the question is, would you buy the same kit again or try sweeps from another vendor maybe?
