Spot light location question

Hey guys, I was thinking of getting some spot lights from Unity, but they are pretty damn expensive.

I have access to some relatively inexpensive 5" round 55 watt lights. The thing is, I don't want to add a light bar, but I DO need extra lighting at night. I was thinking about making a hole in the cowl filler panel (where the antenna is) and mount a 5 or 6" spot light there. I think it would work great, but I don't want it to look funky.

Google has only allowed me to find the unity-styled spotlights, and I have not seen anyone mount spots on the cowl panel.

Any thoughts or has anyone done this location install?
