Led taillights.
Well my stepside drivers side tail light decided to fail so went and replaced both with led tail lights and put them in the rear fenders. I did not change the flasher, all turn signals work brakes work, only problem I'm having is when running lights on brake lights do not activate. Not sure what controls the transition between the 2 but something isn't right. Any ideas?

Re: Led taillights.
The reason your LED'S work is because you didn't change your front turn signals. If you change those to LED, you will need a new flasher. I have read and seen a lot of issues with the LED bulbs not working correctly with driving lights, and when they do work with driving lights there isn't really an intensity difference when the brakes are applied. The versions that I see that do work are: 50 leds total, 25 for driving lights +25 when brakes are applied.

Re: Led taillights.
Grounds! Take some jumpers and make sure the fenders are grounded good to the truck it self.

Re: Led taillights.
Grounds are covered. Have each light grounded to frame.
So should I try the flasher see if it clears it up? I mean I not sure how that would but just trying to figure it out. |

Re: Led taillights.
So I doubled up the grounds frame to light, body to light- got the drivers side to act normal, running lights brake works. Passenger side still not working right. Blinkers started not working while running lights on, ordered a new turn signal switch, from what I read through posts a lot of everyone's problems come from there guess we will see.

Re: Led taillights.
You can try the no load flasher but if you have them mixed with regular bulbs it shouldn't matter.
