short fleet vs. stepside

Are the frames the same and are the beds a direct bolt-on between short wide beds and short narrow beds?

I Am considering swapping off my fleetside bed and putting on stepside I have. (no fleetside not for sale right now)

Let me know.

YES! It will be a bolt on deal. The frames are exactly the same. Not sure about the actual mounting bolts though. Hope this helps!

If they didn't cpome with your bed, you'll need different cross rails or whatever they are called. But yeah it is a simple swapover.

You'll need the off-set washers with the 8-point hole punched in them to use with the wooden bed IF your fleetside has a metal one.
