Somerset, MA car show pics

Local (to me) hot rod car show sponsered by the Fall River Antique Auto Club had a couple of trucks there.

Hugger Orange (my favorite color on a 67-72). Owner was leaving the show as I got there, so this is the only pic I got:

Nice Truck, it's forsale (no info, just the phine # in the rear window):

Various other pics are here:

Restored '53. Father gave the truck to the 2nd owner on their 48 birthday in original (used) condition. 2nd owner restored it to it's present condition.

I liked that orange chopped job, but not the newer style bed on it. The 53 looks real nice! Thanks for the pics.

Some nice looking trucks there. The new IMO the new style steps on these trucks look good but not with a chopped top. It just doesn't look right.

Gordo I agree with you if you put the newer bed on you have to have matching wheel wells or it just doesn't look right

You're Welcome

Yep, it was held at the Junior High School on Read street.

I think that the show has moved a few times over the years. Now that the new Brightman street bridge is being built, they can't have it at slades ferry park anymore (the bridges footings/on ramps are there). When I was a kid, I thought that the shows where held at Kennedy park in Fall River.

I know that orange truck. Real nice original with I6, 3 speed. It's been to my house before. Probably everybody who owns a 67-72 in ME, NH, VT, MA, and CT have been to my house at one point.

Yes , they were held at Kennedy park ( originaly called South Park ) in the lower section around the fountain . Before that we used to convoy our cars to the Newport show .
