In need of some opinions on Brakes

Finishing up my brakes and need help in deciding to go with manual or power. I have 14"
6 piston in the front and 13" 4 piston Corvette C6 Zo6 brakes in the rear. The truck is a weekend cruiser with a single turbo ls1. I currently Have a 7" dual diaphragm booster but quite a few people are telling me not to bother with it because of the size. Do you think a booster is necessary with the size of my Brakes? The master cylinder mounted directly to the firewall does look a lot cleaner. Any input is greatly appreciated thank you
