Where can I get new wing vent handle gaskets?
Took the short bed for its first drive yesterday and noticed the vent windows were leaking air pretty bad. The gasket between the handle and glass seems to be all wore and not able to put enough pressure when the latch is against the frame when closed. Also I haven't looked yet but is there a set screw on the handles to take them off ?

After looking a little closer it looks like they are just spring washers in there. So maybe I just need to see if I can tighten things up maybe.

Re: Where can I get new wing vent handle gaskets?
I found a dorman latch but only for the drivers side. I can't find the # for the passenger side. I am trying to order the majority of my parts from one place and can not find this number to see if they have it.

You might try a local parts store. I bought a rebuild kit for my 82 at Autozone.

Re: Where can I get new wing vent handle gaskets?
I ended up buying a passenger side replacement from Napa for $18. It came with an extra set of springs and gaskets in case I was working on a van. Apparently they are a little different thickness on the vans. I am going to use the extra parts to try to tighten up the drivers side. If that don't work then I will buy another new one.
The new latch helped bring the noise down but still have a little left. Probably needs a new window gasket but I am not sure I am going to mess with that right now. It is quieter in the cab now but that also allowed me to hear other places that are leaking air going down the road. Not sure if the rubber on the door jam or the top felt is leaking on the drivers door but it is right next to me.
