Re: Car show trophy's
Last show I went to in November had "art". Cams, ring gears, other left overs.

Re: Car show trophy's
I have two trophies I won with my Harley back in the '90s made with Harley engine parts. The best of show is the rods & pistons in a V and the peoples choice is a cam shaft welded to a transmission gear at a vertical angle. The parts were chrome plated. Those are the only trophies I really like. Just cool, but mean more than a mass produced piece of plastic with an engraved plaque, since someone actually made it by hand.

Re: Car show trophy's
I also do 20 award panels like this every year for Altoona Palooza. I just change up the lettering and colors every year.

Re: Car show trophy's
Those are some nice looking trophy's. I build about 12 a year for a local show and as club pick awards for our club. Here's a few I did last year, they are in various stages of completion. These are before clearcoat and pinstriping.

I might have to borrow that distributor idea. They all look great.

Re: Car show trophy's
Nice looking trophy's! I'd need my truck and a teenager to load it to get one home if I was lucky enough to win one.
What do you figure the one with the drum weighs?
