Dying my faded carpet

My original carpet is faded, and green. The cost and transport are expensive and I have to wait for it. The carpet is not worn, so wy not dying it. Just used normal paint for outside woodwork on oilbase. A nailbrush and rubbing it in. Here are some cellphone pics.

It looks good but be careful with your feet on that, it may stain your boots/shoes and wind up inside your house. There are dyes made specifically for this kind of work.

A company called SEM, makes colors for dying carpet and other interior parts such as seats , dash panels. It is available at most automotive parts stores that sell paint and body supplies.

That's looking good.
I wish my interior was that nice.

one of these days

BTW:
I know a detailer that recommends black spray paint. Says it works great and is super easy to touch up.
