Re: N o s knobs

TTT After some intense thought, this knob must go to a survivor or a restoration truck. My farm truck is neither. I politely pass. Bruce

Not certain, but I think 67-70 had 3/8 x 24 thread with no numbers or letters, 71-72 had 7/16 x 20 thread with numbers and letters on it. Maybe someone can confirm.

Jimer - In case you didn't know… That 4-speed knob won't work on the 3-speed transmission in that (almost) new chassis of yours. Ha Ha.
Nice buy though. I seriously thought about that knob too. We both have issues. You spared me this time.

Thanks for that info. I need to check the threads. Sorry for the high jack. Don't see many of these. Especially nos. Thanks, Dustin

Re: N o s knobs

Maddoxdb, The Rockwell T 221 transfer cases did not have markings on them. It could before that T-case. I was told this is why the Rockwell shift pattern was on a sticker placed somewhere in the cab. Bruce

Re: N o s knobs

I know this thread is older than Methuselah, but did the four speed knob sell?

Thanks

Hey Larry, if Nuts is unable to help with or supply the NOS 4 speed knob, we had a pair of these same NOS shift knobs stuck back for a suburban build that never got off the ground, I could part with the NOS 4 speed knob. Also if interested, we had stuck back the matching 4wd specific SM465/NP205 shift lever set and they are available/pictured in the below linked f/s thread. If we end up putting a parts deal together, on another parts matter per your recent NOS steering wheel purchase and then missing NOS horn cap, we have a couple of the NOS black chevy horn caps available/on hand ready to ship. Let me know if interested and I'll get some pics for you, Mel
