Can you guys give me the diameter of the part that goes into the tailgate? Is there a left and a right or are they the same on both sides?

I have these. It looks like they are interchangeable from one side to the other. Diameter is approx. 1 1/2. If you can use them, $10.00 shipped for the set. Thanks, Fred.
