Re: crew cab tow vehicle build
My plan was to use a 2008 suburban 2500 frame and drivetrain. So from that I got a bit of a crazy idea since i had most of the 2008 burb. So as you can see a 2008 burbs floor fits perfect between the 72 rockers.

Re: crew cab tow vehicle build
I hear ya, can't stand the thought of spending big money on a newer truck. Just build what you want with the newer dependability. What frame you using? You stretching the burb frame?

Re: crew cab tow vehicle build
Im using the 2008 burb frame i just haven't decided on length yet. I was thinking of making it a 5.5 foot box and moving the wheel arch to fit the frame. The 08 frames wheelbase is 3 inches longer than the 72.

This should be interesting. I'm tagging along for the ride (since you'll have the room for passengers).

Pretty darn slick, are the 2008 seats going to go back in with extra legroom? Awesome work, Carry On.

Re: crew cab tow vehicle build
The seats are spaced perfectly for dash to knee clearance. Not much visual progress this week but the floor supports are done and pillars are partially done.
