Tow Hook Mounting Questions

Ok, I finally got a pair on tow hooks for one of my K20s and I'm wondering where they mount? Do you have to drill holes? Am I missing something. Anyone have pictures of their hooks mounted? Thanks to all!!

the hooks mount with the hook part facing the ground, and the open end of the hook toward the back of the truck. they go straight up and down. my truck was factory tow hook optioned, but they went missing but the holes are still there. I am not sure, but I think the holes are only there if the tow hooks were ordered from the factory. They are in front of the radiator and behind the bumper on the frame, IIRC. If you want a pic I can go snap one of the holes.

Mine is the 71 style. I would love to see a pic of the holes and a pic of them mounted. I think I need to drill holes.

Here is a picture of the frame horn that tow hook was mounted to. The 71-72 Style hooks mount the same way. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Would it be possible for someone to give me a tracing of the 71-72 tow hook holes with a pencil/paper? I want to make sure I get these holes in the right position. Thanks!!

Anyone with these holes in their frame rail that can make a pencil/paper tracing for me? I'll send an envelope/postage.

Thanks!
