Exclamation 92 Scottsdale TBI 350 Heavy throttle

Hey guys,

So my 92 has had a heavy throttle since I replaced the 350 with a rebuilt 350,
well to be more specific after I did the TBI gasket after the engine swap was completed had used the old one till then. At idle it's hard to hold the engine at anything lower then 1800 rpm when parked & and it's hard not to spin tires after a stop because the rpm's just go to 2000+ when I hit the throttle. Also occasionally when I get going from a stop the truck stumbles and sputters when I give it a little throttle

Unhook the throttle cable at the throttle body. Operate the throttle by hand. It should move nice and smooth.

Most likely your throttle cable is binding.

Re: 92 Scottsdale TBI 350 Heavy throttle

So apparently no one that ever looked at the engine auto techs included, noticed that the throttle and cruise cables were switched everyones feeling a little retarded for not noticing.
