BBC valve spring recommendations

I bought a Comp cam for a BBC awhile ago, pt no. 11-693-8 and they recommend either 953-16 or 954-16 is there any other brand of spring that may work better? k-motion etc... I haven't had much luck with their springs, had them break before, don't want that on the new build, thanks

I'd say say no to K-M. Manley have been good for me for a few years now. Never used PAC but I know they have quality products.

What are your thoughts of K-Motion springs?

Re: BBC valve spring recommendations

I used Crower springs on my BBC w/ hyd roller. Just give them a call and see what they have to say - I have a custom cam (Straub Technologies, cut by Bullet) and they were very helpful in getting me the right spring.
