2002 1500hd headlight switch

Does anyone know if the headlight switch from a Suburban will work in a 2002 1500hd ls? I do not have the ability to shut off the headlights in park and would like to have that for when I am going hunting. Thanks in advance

Push the dome override button 4 times within 4 seconds. It will turn off you headlights.

The switch from a suburban will be the same as your pick up.

Thanks for the tip! I have a friend with a 2002 Suburban and he has a four position switch. Basically his has Auto, off, running lights, and headlights. Mine on the other hand has a three position switch, but is basically useless with the stupid daytime running lights.

The daytime running lamps are on all the time on the suburban too, unless you hit the button 4 times.

My truck is newer so it might be different, but i can trun off the day time running lights by simply turning the knob all the way to left once.

Mine is all the way left all the time. Pushing the dome light button 4 times in 4 seconds works. Thanks for the info!
