WTB: Friction Pads

I need 2 friction pads for the upper driver side door hinge on my 67. They are the little pieces that go on top and bottom of the door stopper thing on the hinge. Thanks!

Re: WTB: Friction Pads

It is pretty easy to make the pads and replace your originals using brake lining material. I use a small hobby saw to cut the material to fit the holder and glue the pads in place using 3M trim adhesive.

Brake material lasts a long time!

Re: WTB: Friction Pads

Im missing the u shaped holders that the pad goes in on the drivers side also. Only thing that is there is the little lever with the hook catch on the end. Thanks

Re: WTB: Friction Pads

Man I figured at least someone would have some of these. I'd be interested in the holders only also, even if the pads are worn off.

Re: WTB: Friction Pads

I know this is an old thread, but does anybody have a Chevy part number for these? Or have any for sale now? I need one half! Kerry

I just bought some from Classic Industries. $12.95 each, holders and pads.

Re: WTB: Friction Pads

Thanks Randy. What do they call them? I looked there and didn't see them in with the hinges.

Re: WTB: Friction Pads

Ok, just found them at Classic Parts. Shipping costs more than the 'door hinge stop rebuilding kit'. But beggars can't be choosy.

Re: WTB: Friction Pads

They are listed as 'door hinge stop rebuilding kits'. If they weren't under hinges I would never have found them. Also at Classic Parts, not Classic Industries, but I'd never looked if not for Randy's post.
