long bed trans /drive shaft

Can I use a turbo 350 trans with a 9 in. tailshaft and get away with a one piece driveshaft on my 53 1/2 ton GMC longbed .If I can get a12 in. will that work also, presently I have a 6in. but want to avoid a two piece driveshaft

Just about anyone who makes drive shafts can set you up with a 1 piece shaft. The guy that builds mine doesn't like to make them longer than 60" but I have had him make me one that was about 68" and it worked out just fine.
