Pump to Carb Fuel Line

Does anyone know if the 67-72 292 pump to carb fuel line will fit '73-newer trucks? I've looked everywhere for one but can only find pre-'73 line. I see no reason why it wouldn't, but I'd like to be sure.

Thanks.

Re: Pump to Carb Fuel Line

Hey Fred, as long as both engines were using Rochester carbs, the fuel line ought to fit. The pumps are in the same place on all 292s (interestingly enough, a different place from the 230/250).

Re: Pump to Carb Fuel Line

I just use rubber fuel line. I know Not as safe But you can run it easier away from any thing hot and i think it helps keep fuel from getting hot adding to vapor lock.

That's what I was thinking too. Makes me wonder why they label it '67-'72... I'll get one and report back.

But if the hose happens to rub on something, or it fails from ethanol (which I've seen happen), you run the risk of fire, and I have an aversion to blowing up.
